Noah has sprained his left ankle. I would like to say that he did something amazing like slide into home base for the winning run….. But actually…….. he was just fooling around at the street dance Friday night. Nice huh.  Anyway, it is not broken, thank the Lord, but he will be in an air cast for the next couple of weeks. The less he is on it the better. All star baseball starts Saturday so he is bummed that he will miss the tournament. He is, as you can imagine, very irritated with the entire situation. He does not know how to be still so it may be a long two weeks for all involved.

Exciting News!!!!

For many years Tim and I have felt the Lord calling us to full time mission service. To be honest I have spent a lot of time explaining to God why I did not think this was a good option for my family. :) Throughout the past year, God has patiently answered every request that we laid before Him regarding this decision. He has gently led our hearts to this place of obedience. He has taught us so much about the peace that only comes when we are completely obedient to His plan and not set on ours.

We have been working with the International Mission Board and have accepted an assignment with them that will take us to the country of Panama. This is an exciting time for our family, yet one filled with many unknowns. We will leave Thomasville in October and spend 8 weeks at a training facility in Virginia. In January, we will head to Costa Rica where we will be in language school for 1 year. At the end of our language school learning we will move and begin our specific assignment in Panama.

I am looking forward to using this blog to update and share with you the many changes that will take place for our family so check back often!
