International Service

We are learning a lot this week at our training in Atlanta. We are basically on the go from sun up to sun down. We have decided that they do not really like sleep much at the International Mission Board. :)
Last night we got to be part of an International Communion Service. It was one of the neatest things I have ever been to. The church that we attended has a BIG heart for missions. They have started 15 different churches here in the Atlanta area that are held in 15 different different languages! Each of the churches came to First Baptist Jonesboro last night for this special service. One by one each pastor from each different congregation stood on the platform and read the scripture in their native tongue. As your native tongue was spoken you were asked to stand. It was really beautiful to hear the Word of God read in so many different languages and see the different nationalities stand as their language was read. It was a very moving service.
Well, we are going to get some rest, we start bright and early in the morning.

Tina,

Please know we are praying for you.
That service you described reminds me of hearing the preacher in Nicaragua. It is amazing to realize how BIG our God really is!
David made it to Johannesburg.
