African Worship

We have had a fun weekend here at what we lovingly refer to as “The Compound”. :) We have decorated our quad for Christmas. We all got together and made it very fun and festive. We now have a winter wonderland in our living area.
Each Sunday night we have a worship service in the custom of another country. This week, we worshiped like they do in Africa. All of the women had to wear long skirts and head coverings. The children and women sat on one side of the room while the men sat on another. I have to tell you that Gracie Lynn now thinks that we need to go be missionaries in Africa. There was lots of music and dancing. She was very happy. :) It was lots of fun!
Here is a picture of me and my friend Jess. She and her hubby Adam are going to serve in the jungles of Peru. Silly girl. :)

Okay, all caught up now! Keri Corbin said something in SS that I had not heard or read - something like, "Have they been kidnapped yet?" I thought she was kidding, but maybe there was something to it?? Hmmmmm......

WIERD!!! I know Jess! Her youngest sister was my old room mate in college. Emily Rose! The song "It's a small world after all..." rings in my head.
