We have had a great weekend! It rained most of the day Saturday so we decided to find some indoor creative fun. We painted pumpkins with some other families which was a big hit with the kids. We played cards and just enjoyed hanging out with new friends. This morning we met with our small group for house church. There are 12 adults and 6 kids. It was our first house church experience. We all enjoyed it. The kids were extra excited to not have to “dress up” One of the members of our group brought his guitar so we had some sweet praise and worship. Two of our members shared how God had led them here and we read some scripture and had prayer time. It is going to be great to get to know these folks over the next few weeks as we worship weekly with them. It is a beautiful fall day so we are going to spend some time enjoying the outdoors this afternoon. We have gotten some relaxation in this weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead!

I have just caught up on the blog.
I loved the retreat part and even though it is Monday and the laundry is calling my name--I am going to take the next hour and rest in God and listen to him.

I just got caught up, too. Thanks for letting us peek into your lives. I've decided it makes me miss you less - somehow you still seem reachable through emails and your blog. Love the pumpkins! Please hug all the kids for me - oh, and Tim too, if he feels left out. :)
